Brian Petersen (Writer/Director)

Born and raised in the Bay Area of northern California, Brian Petersen graduated from the film program of BYU in 2000.  Petersen went onto work as an Assistant Director for the indie-hit Napoleon Dynamite, a film in which he also has a small acting role (”Lance”).  After the success of Napoleon Dynamite, Petersen went on to write and direct his first feature film, Think Tank.  Now living in Los Angeles, Petersen recently started up Side Street Productions, a small indie production company with long-time friend Brett Spackman. In addition to directing, Brian has also had roles in various commercials and the MTV Show Sportsblender.

Brett Spackman (Writer/Producer/Editor)

Brett began making films in Arizona at the age of 14 with the family camcorder. His first video was a sequel to Stephen King’s Christine, in which his mother’s Buick made its video debut. 15 years later Brett received critical acclaim for his short documentary Run to Jay’s: Tournament of Champions, which played at over 2 dozen film festivals and received numerous jury and audience awards.  In addition to writing and directing, Brett is an experienced video editor and web developer.  He recently co-founded Side Street Productions with long-time friend Brian Petersen. Coyote is the first project to come out of the company.

Chris Wyatt (Producer)

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Chris Wyatt has served as producer on four feature films, including the 2004 hit Napoleon Dynamite (Fox Searchlight), the 2007 theatrical release Think Tank (Maitland Primrose Releasing), and the upcoming thriller Beneath (MTV Films). His next indy feature, Dodge, a genre-bending Texas crime noir/dark love story, is currently in pre-production.  Wyatt’s work as a producer earned him a shared 2005 IPF “Indy Spirit Award” nomination (“Producing Award”).  Additionally, Wyatt has directed various national TV commercial spots.  Wyatt holds a MFA in Motion Picture Producing from the University of Southern California’s elite Peter Stark Producing Program. Wyatt worked his way through grad school as the Associate Editor and contributing writer for the award-winning Cinescape Magazine. He currently lives in Los Angeles, with his wife Laura.

Devin Colvin (Producer)

Devin, like Brett, is an Arizona native and thoroughly enjoyed producing much of Coyote in Arizona. After working in LA for a few years, he received his MBA in Marketing from Arizona State University.  He has worked in the fashion and luxury industry, as an Entertainment Edtior for various magazines including LA Splash and Lucire.  He was as an accountant on the TNT Production of Geronimo, Script Supervisor on After Cheri and is currently working in pre-production on the film Monday After Christmas.

Robb Hanks (Director of Photography)

Robb Hanks has been a professional photographer for 10 years. He has shot for Zion’s Bank, Aveda, and Abercrombie & Fitch. He also photographed the Olympics in Australia and Park City.  Prior to his spot as Director of Photography for Coyote, he shot the films Run to Jay’s and Underneath the Invisible Sun.  In addition to long runs up Topanga Canyon with his dog, he is also a world traveler and has been to over 30 countries worldwide.

Stefani Batson (Production Designer)

Stefani first started work as a Prop Assistant on the television crime drama Silk Stalkings.  She has since worked as Art Director on The First Vampire, Think Tank, God’s Waiting List and Let Them Eat Cake. She has served as Production Designer on such films as Half Price Sushi, Cinema Bizaro, and The Wedding Video. Stefani is also a successful interior designer.  Originally from San Diego, she learned to love the intense summer heat and unique creatures of the Sonoran Desert while working on Coyote.
